SPCI 6.2 Released
Digital Pixel and Compix are pleased to announce the release of SPCI Version 6.2.
This major release includes a wide range of feature enhancements.
SPCI Version 6.2 moves high performance
imaging to an even higher level.
Part of the Hamamatsu group since 2003 Compix have been leaders in the field of high performance imaging since their inception in 1984.
6.2 includes as standard many features that are normally considered to be add-ons in other scientific imaging packages,
including colocalisation analysis, image morpohology and analysis, real fluorophore colourisation, import functionality from many image sources, such as BioRad confocals. 6.2 also supports the Open Microscopy Environment (OME).
This format stores valuable experimental data with the image file.
Data selection has also been enhanced- Many experiments consist of hundreds if not thousands of images.
6.2 allows the user to interactively select the images for display or export- before making a final export selection. This powerful feature makes data handling far easier than using standard file readers.
One other great presentation feature is the ability to add/remove text, change display setting etc. over the course of a dataset or movie!
3-D Rendering New!!
3-D Image Rendering is also available as an add on module. This powerful feature allows images to be displayed in three dimenasional space. The user can easily view large datasets over time, with interactive control over colour channels- a single click can show red-green or b lue channels.
Any sequences produced can be easily exported in "AVI" or tiff format directly into Powerpoint type presentations.

6.2 also supports an advanced FRET module with full support for the following algorithms:

2 Filter FRET
Acceptor Photo Bleaching
SPCI allows the user to process a complete DataDoc, which can consist of Z and Time information.
The results can easily be exported in multi media formats.
